Job picture improves with fewer layoffs, more job openings

The number of unemployed people per job opening dropped to 3.3 in November, the lowest ratio in more than four years, the Labor Department reported Thursday. Companies laid off 17,000 fewer workers in November than they did the previous month, and 11,000 more job openings were posted. Full Story.
