Publix Super Markets is this year’s winner of the Black Pearl Award, given by the International Association for Food Protection to recognize initiatives in food safety and quality. Companies that receive the award must provide food-safety education to the public and within the company, promote ethical business practices and meet food-safety regulations. Full Story.
