Shoppers want the same prices, service across channels, survey says

About 49% of consumers say they want to make purchases just as easily online and on their mobile devices as they do in the store, illustrating the need for retailers to have a strong omnichannel presence, according to a survey by Accenture. “Most consumers we surveyed expect a retailer’s pricing and promotions to be the same online as in the store, but our analysis of retailers indicated that only 16 percent of retailers offer the same prices online as they do in the store,” said Renato Scaff, managing director of Accenture’s retail practice.
