Walmart reveals big holiday hiring plans

Walmart will make 35,000 temporary workers’ positions permanent part-time jobs and promote another 35,000 part-timers to full-time posts that come with benefits, the company said Monday. The retailer, which employs about 1.3 million full- and part-time employees in the U.S., also said it will hire 55,000 seasonal workers to gear up for the holidays, up from 50,000 last year.
